The Portland Hospital is opening its doors to welcome visitors on Sunday 6th November 2011 from 10:30am to 4:30pm to a Midwife Led Care Open Day at 205-209 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5AH. The open day provides an ideal opportunity for parents planning their second or subsequent baby.
Guests are offered guided tours of the hospital’s facilities including the delivery suites, maternity wards and nurseries as well as presentations on ‘Midwifery Led Care at the Portland’.
Visitors can also take a look at the imaging services to see examples of some amazing 3D/4D ultrasound technology including moving and still images of babies whilst in the womb.
Midwives are on hand throughout the day to meet visitors and offer one-to-one free of charge advice. Complimentary massages or reflexology treatments* are also offered to expectant mothers as well as receiving a special luxury goodie bag packed full of exclusive products from leading suppliers and includes useful healthcare information worth over £50! During the day mothers also have the opportunity to take a free ‘Bump or Family Photo’ courtesy of Imagethirst photographers*. .
The event is free to attend to all who are planning to extend their family with a second or subsequent baby. The Midwife Led Care package is available for mothers who have previously given birth with uncomplicated pregnancies and are planning a normal, low risk, singleton delivery.
The open day provides a wonderful opportunity for visitors to find out valuable information about midwife led care, pregnancy and birthing, breastfeeding techniques and meet the staff, midwives and tour the hospital’s facilities.
