When should a child’s puberty or growth be a concern?
Children come in all shapes and sizes, and in the majority of cases, children are the height they are, or start puberty at the age they do, for all the right reasons and this should raise no concern for parents as long as the child is healthy. However, in a minority of cases some children can be of ‘excessively’ short or tall stature, or might start showing signs of starting puberty at an unexpected age.
Henry and Honey’s Foot Operation Diary
Henry Lee, aged 5 from Ferrars Infant School in Luton recently visited The Portland Hospital with his favourite teddy ‘Honey’ to undergo a foot operation by Children’s Orthopaedic Mr Rob Hill. Henry enjoyed his time at the Portland and prepared a creative diary of his and Honey’s experiences whilst at the hospital.

National Infection Control Week at the Portland
National Infection Control Week is being held from Monday 17th October to Friday 21st October, here at The Portland Hospital. The week has been designed nationally to promote the knowledge of infections and how they are prevented and spread.
